American Heart Month

Cardiovascular diseases, including stroke, are our nation’s number one killer. To urge Americans to join the battle against these diseases, Congress has required since 1963 that the president proclaim February American Heart Month. Every year, the American Heart Association and thousands of volunteers raise funds for research and education about heart disease and stroke.

Free Walk-in Blood Pressure Screenings (Ashburn)
Nova urges you to learn more about your own heart health risk. In honor of American Heart Month, Nova will be hosting free walk-in blood pressure screenings for the public in Ashburn’s Nova Urgent Care Center during regular business hours. For more information, please call 703.554.1100.

Note: Per Nova’s company policy, those whose blood pressure screenings yield abnormal results will be admitted as a patient and treated accordingly by one of Nova’s physicians. The patient will be charged the appropriate fees for additional testing, such as EKGs. Those patients who would like to leave the facility and be treated by their own personal physician will be asked to sign a Discharge Against Medical Advice waiver.
