According to the CDC, chronic diseases – such as heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes, and arthritis – are among the most common, costly, and preventable of all health problems in the U.S.
At Nova, we understand that four modifiable health risk behaviors—lack of physical activity, poor nutrition, tobacco use, and excessive alcohol consumption—are responsible for much of the illness, suffering, and early death related to chronic diseases. We also realize that obesity has become a major public health concern, with more than 1/3 of the U.S. adult population being classified as obese. Obesity-related conditions include heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer, some of the leading causes of preventable death.
In an effort to promote optimal health and positive lifestyle changes, we are pleased to offer on-site nutritional counseling, wellness coaching and fitness services for our patients. We also offer a comprehensive 12-week Integrative Wellness & Weight Loss Program.
