Program Components
Cognitive-behavioral medicine is an approach to helping people that is focused on solving and overcoming the present problem, in this case, nicotine addiction and
relapse. This form of mind-body medicine is interactive in nature, where client and therapist work together to identify and correct maladaptive thought patterns and behaviors
that maintain the smoking habit.
Naturopathic medicine offers people ready to quit smoking the necessary tools for achieving success. Through the use of vitamins, supplements, herbs and dietary advice,
the naturopath will provide you with the tools your body needs to remain well through the physical changes associated with smoking cessation. Each client's health history will
be taken in order to customize a personalized treatment plan.
Acupuncture has been establishing itself for decades as an effective means of overcoming addictions. After ten years of study at the South Bronx Lincoln Hospital,
Dr. Michael Smith determined a need for a national-level organization to expand acupuncture detoxification training and awareness of the value of acupuncture as a tool
of recovery. The National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) was founded in 1985 and has since been training health care professionals in acupuncture
detoxification protocols all over the world. The treatments you will receive will be performed by a NADA certified detoxification specialist. These treatments have been
proven effective for all levels of addictions and will be customized to address your specific needs as you complete your process of recovery.
