Sharleen St. Surin-Lord, M.D. Board Certified Dermatologist
A New York City native, Dr. St. Surin earned her undergraduate degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from Howard University in Washington D.C. in 1996. She pursued a career in vaccine manufacturing and was employed by Merck & Co., Inc. While conducting research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Dr. St. Surin returned to Howard University College of Medicine. She also served as an NIH Research Fellow and a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Scholar, before graduating with her medical degree in 2004. She completed her internship at Albert Einstein at Montefiore in Bronx, NY and her Dermatology residency at Howard University.
After becoming board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology, Dr. St. Surin completed a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship under the tutelage of the famed Dr. Suzan Obagi. Concurrently, she served as Clinical Instructor to residents in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. St. Surin has delivered numerous dermatology lectures, spoken at many national meetings and continues to publish in professional journals.
